Liverpool Children and Young People’s Services - Model of Practice
Partnership update - February 2025
Progress on our journey to implementing Family Safeguarding in Liverpool is continuing and we are confident that we will go live with the initial phase on 1 May 2025.
Family Safeguarding is an integral part of a wider Model of Practice which we are working towards across Children and Young People’s Services.
Recently, our milestones include:
- Continuing with our co-production events across the Children and Young People’s Services workforce and with children, young people and their networks to secure a name and branding for our Model of Practice.
- Further rolling out our initial training, learning and development offer for the council’s workforce and are planning a further training, learning and development offer for partners.
- Continuing discussions with partners around their support and contribution to the development of multi-disciplinary teams.
- Developing the process and systems which will enable the workforce to spend more time with children, young people and their networks and create a practice system which helps to embed the Model of Practice.
Moving forward we are working with LSCP so that there is a page on their website for where all updates, information and useful material can be stored in one place. Once this is live, we will let you know and share the link.
Monthly update newsletters from March 2025 will also be available via the LCSP website.
Please find attached some relevant supporting documents which I hope you will find useful.
