About Practice Week

Practice week is our annual celebration of all things related to Early Help.

This year Early Help Practice week 2024 took place week 14th - 18th October and we took the opportunity to rebrand our local Early Help offer to become Liverpool Family Help.

The theme of practice week was ‘Working Together to Support Families’ and we were delighted that professionals from so many agencies committed their time and support to facilitate a week of varied and exciting events.

In addition to our daily reads, virtual bite sized learning sessions and social media clips, we also held a face-to-face event to celebrate good practice and name those professionals who were awarded our Family Help Practitioner Award.

Family Help Practice week is designed to:

  • Raise the profile and highlight the benefits of Family Help
  • Celebrate multi agency practice
  • Explore challenges and offer solutions
  • Support networking and strengthen partnerships

All our local Family Help events, including training, refresher sessions, bespoke support and our quarterly forums are free and open to anyone working with working with children, young people and families in Liverpool – to place your name on our contact list and ensure you are kept up to date, please contact Nicky.Walsh@Liverpool.gov.uk.
