SERIOUS - Suicide Prevention for children and young people

This half day session will;

1. Increase your confidence in dealing with suicide in relation to children and young people.

2. Reduce the stigma surrounding suicide.

3. Enable professionals to spot a young person in distress and know how to respond.

Although a young person may have indicated to you that they want to end their life, most of the time this is not because they want to die, but rather because they want the painful emotions they are experiencing to stop.

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
