Prevent Awareness Briefing

“This PREVENT awareness raising session, will explain the objectives of the Governments Counter Terrorism “Contest Strategy” and how the PREVENT strand works towards its overall objectives, which are, the reduction of risk to the UK and its overseas interests from the threat of terrorism and to enable people, to go about their daily lives freely and with confidence.

It will highlight the differences between Terrorism and extremism, the radicalisation journey, along with the current terror threat level to the UK, it will also explain why the PREVENT strand is so important in helping to reduce that threat.

It will provide some explanation about the emergence and threat from the Far Right and other emerging Mixed, Unclear or Unstable ideologies and outline some of the indicators that may be displayed by those who are or might be, vulnerable to radicalisation.

Most importantly it will explain the local referral process for anyone that you may have concerns about.”

Please note this training will be delivered virtually - A Microsoft Teams invitation will be sent to you approximately 2 days before.

The waiting list for each date will not automatically transfer to future dates - new bookings will need to be made per course date.

All cancellations need to be made at least 7 working days prior to the training date. Any late cancellations or DNA's may be charged £50.
