Ng. T1: Foundation - Understanding Child Neglect Briefing

This training is delivered by Niccie Jones the LSCP Training Coordinator, Liverpool.

This 2-hour virtual FOUNDATION session, provides an overview of child neglect and helps attendees to develop a good basic understanding of the importance of recognising signs and symptoms.  

Learning Outcome:

• An overview of what child neglect is and how it may present in children and young people
• The ability to recognise signs and symptoms of children and young people who are, or may be, neglected.
• Knowledge about the different types of neglect
• Understanding of the impact of neglect on the child’s development through all ages.
• Knowledge on sharing information and working within a multi-agency structure.
• Reference to the Neglect Screening Tool and Guidance

Please note this training will be delivered virtually - A Microsoft Teams invitation will be sent to you approximately 2 days before.

The waiting list for each date will not automatically transfer to future dates - new bookings will need to be made per course date.
