DA T2 - Impact of Domestic Abuse 0 - 11 years
Preliminary note: If you require an introduction to Domestic Abuse please ensure that you have attended the DA Tier 1 Domestic Abuse Introduction course BEFORE booking for this course.
This HALF DAY session will explore the impact of domestic abuse on babies and children.
- Explore how and why perpetrators use sabotage, pregnancy promoting behaviours and forced terminations to further their power and control.
- Examine the short and long term impact and effects of abuse, violence and trauma on:
- a foetus
- 5 stages of child development (including emotional brain development)
- pre-school children (0-5 yrs)
- primary school age children (5-11 yrs)
- Importance of multi-agency working / Liverpool safeguarding process
NB: Please note this training will be delivered in person. This venue is an accessible space.
The waiting list for each date will not automatically transfer to future dates - new bookings will need to be made per course date.
All cancellations need to be made at least 7 working days prior to the training date. Any late cancellations or DNA's may be charged £50.
