DA T1 - Domestic Abuse Introduction
This training is delivered by Frances Goldsmith-Day who works for the Independent Domestic Violence Advisory Service (IDVA), Liverpool.
This 2-hour virtual session provides an overview of complexity of domestic violence and abuse and helps attendees to develop an understanding of the importance of their role in referring or signposting victims to appropriate and relevant support agencies and to work within the guidelines of safeguarding adults and children.
This virtual training session provides participants with.
- An awareness of domestic abuse and an understanding of how to identify and respond to clients experiencing it.
- Further understand what coercive controlling behaviour is.
- The opportunity to explore and to recognise the impact COVID 19 has had on domestic abuse and the response to this.
- The Merit & MARAC process - How & when to refer.
Please note this training will be delivered virtually - A Microsoft Teams invitation will be sent to you approximately 2 days before.
The waiting list for each date will not automatically transfer to future dates - new bookings will need to be made per course date.
